Labeling Maps

Dear blog, today's class was pretty fun. One of my classmates kept making jokes since the teacher wasn't there for the first half of class. When he came back he gave us three maps and we had to labeling a few things on all of them. The three maps we got were the Mercator Projection Map, the Gall- Peters Projection Map, and the Robinson Projection Map. The different things we had to label were the seven continents, five oceans, prime meridian, equator, international date line, my origin, and where the John Carroll school is located. In class I got done one full map, and then labeled the oceans and continents on the others. I still have to do the other thing on the two other maps that I didn't finish in class. I am somewhat enjoying learning about these maps. I think it is interesting because people actually thought the earth was flat and how the maps have improved over time. The class went by fast and I am kind of excited to learn and find out more about the maps tomorrow.
