GPS and Location

Today in class we talk a lot about GPS. GPS stands for Global Positioning System. They are used in planes, boats, car, and on smart phones to give you precise direction to locations that you enter in. Many people use them today to get around because it is the easiest and quickest. They are used for all kinds of navigational purposes. We also talked about why every single point on earth is unique. The reasoning behind that is because every place of Earth is either located on different longitude and latitude points or each place has their own climates, elevations, culture, and many other things. The last thing that we did in class today was our teacher gave us three pieces of paper that had a few different pictures/ maps of Earth. One one of them we had to label places as to where they were, and on the others, we had to look over and study them.
