Religions

Todays class went by really fast. I liked the topics were are learning about right now. We are talking about the five major religions. The five major religions are Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Judaism. I was absent when we got the notes for Christianity and Islam but so far the most interesting has been Judaism. We also got a classwork to do in our blogs where we rank the five major religions scoring to population from the CIA website and from the Adherents website.

From the CIA website... the first one is Christianity which is 31.4% of worlds population, and is ranked number 1. Second I got Islam which is 24.2% of the worlds population, and is ranked number 2. Third I got Hinduism which is 15% of the world population, and is ranked number 3 in the world. Fourth I got Buddhism which is 7.1% and Buddhism is ranked number four. Last I got Judaism which is .2% of the worlds population and is ranked number six.

From the Adherent website I first got Christianity which was 33% of the worlds population, and ranked number one. Then I got Islam which was 21% of the world population, and ranked number two. Third I got Hinduism which was said to be 14% of the world population, and ranked number four. Then I got Buddhism which was 6% of the worlds population and ranked number six. Last I got Judaism as 0.22% of the worlds population and ranked number seven.

The two website were a little bit different but overall pretty close.
