~he is super smart; a biologist but his real passion is the study of birds
~Papua New Guinea
~People have been living in PNG for over 40,000 years; longer than any place in the US
~People are still living their everyday life how they did 40,000 years ago

~Prehistory- before writing things down
~13,000 years ago everyone on the planet were hunter-gathers (wakeup and say "what am I going to eat?" also didn't have a permanent home)
~still hunter-gathers in Papua New Guinea today
~Wild Sago- key food in PNG
~barely and wheat (grains that grew very well there)
~Draa- one of earliest permanent villages
~granary
~People started growing their own food
