Roman Empire & US

      Both the Roman empire and United States declined. Yes there was of course some good things that happened to both the empire and the US, but for the most part both went/ are going down hill. There are many examples of each. First, the Roman Empire got invaded many time. This created corruption and a struggle between the Empire. This is kind of like the Mexican border. People try and get across it to come into America everyday and to create corruption and problems. The president wanted to build a wall but that wont solve the over load of people wanting to come in. Also, when the president split families up and made everything ten times worse. Another example is the decline of inflation. The economy fell in the Roman Empire as it has in the past for the United States. Many things can effect the economy. Agriculture, jobs, population, war, and many other things are main effect on the decline of inflation that occurred both now and back then. One of the heaviest and sudden declines of money that happened to the US was the Great Depression. Many people lost their jobs and it put America in a huge economical whole. The final example is debt. Both the Roman Empire and the United States have faced a point in time where they were in a lot of debt. After being invade and going to war several times, the empire was in a constant state of debt. They would get out of it and when ever something else would occur they would only go deeper and deeper into how much money they owed. Just like the United States. We make deals with other countries and continues to go into debt. If our president decides to build a wall we will be in even more debt when we can put that money toward strong military supplies and training. Therefore the Roman Empire and  the United States are decline and alike in many ways.
