CIA Research

     In class today we got time to do part of our research assignment. The first fact is in Morocco has a military called Royal Armed Forces, and you must be at least 20 years old. That is different because in America you have to be about 17-18 to be able to serve in the army, navy, air forces, etc. I find this interesting because Morocco isn't really known and I wouldn't except it to have a civilized or military with a name and everything.
     The second fact is the population of the Pitcairn Islands is 54 people, and out of those 54 people only 15 work. I thought this was very interesting because America is extremely bigger then that island and a great number of people work. The difference is that obviously America has a greater mass or land then the little Island but it is crazy to think about the difference and people working.
     The third fact is Iceland has 89 airports. This surprised me because it seems like a lot of airports for how small Iceland is. This relates to what we have learned so far in human geo class by we have talked about how places with a greater population have more work forces and ways of transportation, so I was interested when I read that Iceland has that many airports.
     The forth fact is Spain has multiple types of transportation, such as railways, regular roads (car), airports, waterways, ports, terminals, etc. This relates to the work we have done in class by having to label rivers and if countries are developed or developing. Spain is developed and you can tell by how many ways or transportation and connected those systems are.
     The final fact is Colombia is known for growing coffee and tobacco. I found this interesting because it has been common through the places that I've looked and read over in South America, it is common to grow coffee and tobacco. I am assuming because of their fertile ground and difference resources that South Americans have access to.
